Yesterday, I tweeted that I think Google should make their own, “main” Android phone, but you can’t really fit a whole lot into 140 characters. Therefor, I decided to write this blog post to expand on the idea.

Right before that tweet, I tweeted this: “I dislike Android phones more and more every day.”

The reason for that second tweet is because most Android phones, quite honestly, are crap. Even some of the best, like the Samsung Galaxy SII, have their flaws. Don’t get me wrong, Android is a great mobile OS, but you can’t just expect the same operating system to run flawlessly on a variety of different hardware.

I’ve finally finished my new portfolio. After many many mockups and coded designs, I’ve finally come up with one I like. It’s simple, but nice. As you can see I also made a matching Tumblr theme as well. Well anyway, let me know if you see anything wrong!

Two days ago, my two new fans and my new HDD came, so I can finally use my computer again (my old HDD crashed). The HDD works like a charm so far, and I’ve got Windows 7 installed and such. It’s great to be on my own computer again, rather than my brother’s piece of crap with Vista installed.

Today I installed one of the two fans I ordered. Apparently everyone who tried to make a guess at the size of fan I needed guessed wrong (didn’t say how big of a fan it needed anywhere) so I just bought two 80mm fans, with blue LED’s. They ended up being a bit to small, but so far I was able to get one of them to stay in place. I used one of the holes meant for the screw, and then put one of the screws through some random part of the case, but I got it to stick. I also used two twist ties on it, so it’s pretty secure. Tomorrow I plan to tackle the other fan.

Alright. As anyone who’s following my blog probably knows, I’ve needed a new computer for a long time. For over a year I’ve changed my mind about building one, buying a Mac, buying a PC, etc., but none of it ever happened because I never ended up having the money to do it.

Well now, I’ll finally be building a new computer. I’ve been debating whether I should get a Mac or build a new PC, but for half the price and much better hardware, I had to go with the custom built PC. And here’s the best news: for once, I actually know that I’ll be able to pay for it. This is probably my fourth post since I started this blog posting specs of some random build I was going to build, but this one is going to happen.

Well anyone, enough with my chitter-chatter, and onto what you want to see: the specs.

A question I’ve been getting from a lot of you on Twitter is, “What happened to Rivr?”. Well where do I start?

For the past 10 months, Rivr & VersoBit developer Ryan Pannell has been completely inactive. Every time I or Rylea spoke to him about it, he promised he’d do it. Some time in February, we removed him from the Rivr team. That night, he said he wanted to kill himself he was so depressed (all because of the internet). We had no intentions of letting him back on the team, but about a month later we agreed to let him come back, on the agreement that he would actually do something from now on.

From then until now, mid September, he had not done a single thing. Even after flying out to Canada for a few weeks with to visit Rylea (he was planning on moving there some day if VersoBit opens an office up there), he still didn’t feel the need to work. Finally, the decision was made to remove him from his position on the Rivr & VersoBit teams.

When he got this news, he wasn’t exactly happy. He started threatening us with legal crap, and then demanded either 50% of VersoBit or Rivr. Rivr, as it was, was already at a decline. VersoBit, on the other hand, is doing great- we couldn’t afford to give it away. Therefor, we finally came to the decision of closing down Rivr.

But don’t stop reading yet! VersoBit has an awesome new social networking experience planned for 2012, something that has never been done before. We think we’ll get a great response with this new social network, but it’s going to take a lot of planning and development. We currently estimate that it won’t be done until early to mid 2012, so don’t expect it anytime soon, but it’ll be worth the wait. That’s about all I can say for now, so we hope to see you there in 2012!

Hello there! It’s been a while since I last made a post to this blog, nearly 6 months. I decided to start fresh with this blog, therefor all my previous blog posts are set to private.

You’re probably wondering why I didn’t use this before. The main reason for that is because before, I would just post anything and everything on Rivr. Now that Rivr is gone, and I’m using Twitter now, I have that 140-character restriction on tweets. Therefor, I’ve decided to start using Tumblr more. Be sure to follow me here, as well as on Twitter!
